1. CULTIVATION AREA
| Originally from Duc Dien village (Hanoi), the prized Dien pomelo has been cultivated in Yen Thuy (Hoa Binh) since 1978. Located 50–80 km from Hanoi, this mountainous region offers cooler, fresher air and ideal soil conditions—sandy topsoil, laterite subsoil, pH 5.5–6.5—perfect for citrus, especially Dien pomelo.
Thanks to local dedication and modern farming techniques, Yen Thuy now has 1,500 ha of VietGAP-certified pomelo, with traceable origin and export-ready planting codes for the EU and US. The product holds a 4-star OCOP certification and has been protected under the collective trademark “Yen Thuy Pomelo” since 2019. |
